Upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra in March 2025. One of the features is water aerobics which automatically puts it in water lock, which I used often in my older Galaxy watch 5 with no problem. The Watch Ultra is supposed to be a better watch for this. However, the 1st time I use this feature in August 2025, during my workout, it vibrated oddly and shut down. I tried multiple times to get it back on and even used a new charging wire. Nothing worked. I contacted Samsung repair as it is still under warranty. I recieved an email back for a bill of $302 to repair it due to water damage! I called them and was told by 2 different Samsung agents that they agree with me that this should not have happened as it was in a "water-lock" feature. I was not diving, snorkeling or going deep in a pool. I was simply doing water aerobics at the surface of the pool. Even though they agree with me, they state there is absolutely nothing Samsung allows them to do and the warrenty will not cover water damage. Under no circumstances can they escalate it. Either I pay the $302 or they will just return the watch to me. There techs should be able to diagnosticly see it was in water-lock and if that happens in water-lock, then something is faulty with the watch. I tried to argue this fact, again the support staff Eric agreed with me. He finally apologized but again gave me only the option to pay or he can return the watch to me. I told him to return it. Finally, at that point he did offer to send my complaint to a supervisor. I have been a LONG time Samsung consumer from mobile devices to appliances. I am really disappointed in the support or lack there of on a warranty part that fails on the 1st time using the feature. With Samsung refusing to replace a faulty product under these circumstances tells me, the product and company can no longer be valued and trusted ans they do not value there customer relationships.
Refrigerators are poorly designed. Ice dispenser shoots ice out of the bottom of the refrigerator because it overflows. When one French door closes, the other opens because of the air displacement. This caused the compressor to overwork, ice over, and eventually stop working. TVs are poorly designed. The remote control sensitivity is impossible to get right. I press a button, wait, nothing. Press it again, then the function happens twice. Or it just takes the TV 5 minutes to "warm up" before responding to any input from the remote. ALL commercials on the Samsung TV+ are at insanely high volumes. Especially Epic Universe. I can no longer watch Samsung TV because I can barely hear the program while the commercial is damaging my hearing and my property. Samsung is the worst!
On 10/25/2023 I contacted Samsung to let them know I was having issues with the electronics on the display of my oven locking up. A service tech was scheduled and arrived on 11/01/2023 and repaired the stove. On 01/03/2024 I started having the same issue with the stove. On 01/09/2024 a tech arrived and took it apart and he needed additional parts and would be back next week. The tech arrived next week on 01/17/2024 and performed the repairs. We tested it before he left and it failed. He called Samsung and they had him try a couple of different things and he got it to pass before he left. 12 days later on 01/29/2024 I started having the same issue and contacted Samsung on 01/30/2024 and they told me there was nothing they could do now because it's 11 days out of warranty. Between the first and second problems I spoke with a lot of different people about the oven. I brought up the fact that when they were here to repair it on 01/17/2024 that the warranty runs out in two days. I was told "since it's a part we're repairing it will be covered under warranty and if it happens again we'll just replace it". Well, it happened again and nobody wants to help. They've offered a pro-rated refund but that doesn't come near to covering the cost of a new one, delivery, and haul away of the old one. I really want this one replaced with a new one but if that doesn't work then I want a FULL refund. Samsung doesn’t seem to be standing by their product. They never have sufficiently repaired the issue while the product was still in warranty.
I guess I'll add my name to the list! I bought "Bespoke" washer and dryer which were installed on January 14th. The dryer was damaged in shipping and was making a grinding noise whenever something heavier, like towels, were being dried. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repairman out twice to look at it, the second visit he showed me where the barrel was scraping a part in the bottom of the dryer. There was metal shaving dust everywhere and visible wear on the brand new barrel. In total, Samsung issued three repair ticket numbers and nothing was done about it. Their customer service told the repairman it was probably damaged in shipping. I spent weeks being bounced around "Samsung Cares", *scoffing*, who eventually gave me to the e-commerce department. They said although it's in their court, unfortunately it was over the 15 day return period so their hands were tied and I'd have to pay for the repair. I bought these appliances directly from their website, they shipped it and their repairmen installed it. THEY WON'T TAKE CARE OF ME after I bought a $1000 dryer. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau who is reaching out to them, and I think I'll add the MN Attorney Generals office in as well. **DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES**
7 days out of warranty on a $1500 washer. Next time I won't even buy their phones. Horrible company. No customer service. Buy LG or anything else!! NOT a Samsung
